State of Emergency: Women's Health Under Attack
Against a troubling backdrop for women’s health, politicians across the country have moved to further restrict women’s access to reproductive healthcare. Since the beginning of 2019, states have passed legislation at alarming rates to reduce access to affordable contraception and sex education. Forty-seven states have filed over 300 bills that seek to restrict access to abortion care. Such barriers to reproductive healthcare will worsen health outcomes and exacerbate existing disparities and inequities in our health system.
